Where We Work
Gravity Contractors is based at 262 Kenora Ave, Hamilton, ON L8E 3Y3. We serve the City of Hamilton — including Stoney Creek, Ancaster, Dundas and Waterdown — as well as Burlington and Grimsby.
Since amalgamation in 2001, Stoney Creek, Ancaster, Dundas, Glanbrook and Flamborough (including Waterdown) have been part of the City of Hamilton, so they share one building department and permit process. Burlington and Grimsby are separate municipalities with their own. We apply for permits with whichever office covers your property.

Our office is on Kenora Avenue in east Hamilton, and we work throughout the city — the lower city, Westdale, the Mountain and the east end. Many Hamilton homes are older, so we plan for upgrades such as wiring, plumbing and insulation that often come up during renovations.
Stoney Creek, including Winona and Fruitland, is part of the City of Hamilton, so permits go through the same Hamilton Building Division. We take on kitchen, bathroom, basement and commercial work here.
Ancaster has been part of the City of Hamilton since 2001 and follows Hamilton's building permit process. We renovate kitchens, bathrooms and basements and build additions here.
Dundas is part of the City of Hamilton. Its older housing stock makes it a common place for full home renovations, where we update kitchens, bathrooms and electrical systems together.
Waterdown is in Flamborough, within the City of Hamilton. We handle basement finishing, kitchens and bathrooms for Waterdown homeowners.
Burlington is a separate municipality in Halton Region with its own building department and zoning by-law, so permit applications are made to the City of Burlington rather than Hamilton. We take on residential and commercial renovations across Burlington, including Aldershot.
Grimsby is in Niagara Region, just east of Stoney Creek, and has its own building department. We take on renovation projects in Grimsby on a project-by-project basis — call to confirm availability for your job.
