FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Gravity Contractors do?

Gravity Contractors is a general contractor based in Hamilton, Ontario. We handle residential renovations — kitchens, bathrooms, basements and whole homes — as well as commercial renovations, additions, painting, electrical work and emergency repairs.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Hamilton, including Stoney Creek, Ancaster, Dundas and Waterdown, as well as Burlington, Grimsby and surrounding communities.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. Consultations and on-site estimates are free with no obligation. After the visit we provide a written, itemized quote, usually within 24 hours for straightforward projects.

Are you insured?

Yes. Gravity Contractors is an incorporated business with liability insurance. Ask us for a copy of our certificate of insurance with your quote.

How long does a typical renovation take?

It depends on scope. A kitchen or bathroom renovation typically takes two to four weeks on site, while basements, additions and commercial projects take longer. You'll get a written timeline before work begins.

Do I need a permit for my renovation?

Cosmetic work usually doesn't need a building permit, but structural changes, new or moved plumbing, and additions generally do, and electrical work needs an ESA permit. We confirm requirements with the municipality and handle permit applications for our projects.

Do you offer a warranty on your work?

Yes. Our work is backed by a workmanship warranty. Warranty terms are written into your contract.
